Bound by shared aspiration, we stride forward together. From July 23 to 25, CIAME Asia 2025—the first overseas exhibition organized by China’s agricultural machinery industry—was held at the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Bangkok, Thailand.
At 12:00 p.m. on July 23, the 2025 China (Wuhan) – Thailand Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Meeting, themed “Wuhan Agricultural Machinery, Smart Cultivation for the Future”, was held on-site at the exhibition. Thai agents and distributors attended the event to connect and negotiate with high-quality agricultural machinery enterprises from Wuhan, aiming for win-win cooperation. In his speech, Wan Yonghua introduced Wuhan’s key advantages. Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province and known as “Han” for short, is located in central China. The city spans an area of 8,569 square kilometers and has a resident population of 15.33 million, with a total GDP exceeding 2 trillion yuan. Wuhan is the birthplace of China’s first domestically-developed rice transplanter, first walking tractor, and first mechanized farming boat. As of 2024, the city had 29 agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprises, holding 552 patents and achieving a total output value of 2.4 billion yuan. The self-driving pattern realizes by the integration of “Beidou Navigation Satellite System(BDS) + agricultural machinery” has improved operational efficiency by 10%.
Wuhan also boasts exceptional conditions for economic and foreign cooperation. In 2024, Wuhan’s GDP reached 2.11 trillion yuan, ranking ninth nationwide. Its foreign trade import and export volume totaled 403.353 billion yuan, the highest growth among all provincial capitals in central China. The city attracted $1.475 billion in foreign direct investment, also ranking first among central provincial capitals. A total of 310 Fortune Global 500 companies has invested in Wuhan. Geographically positioned at the heart of China’s economy, Wuhan is one of the country’s three major intellectual hubs and is accelerating the development of a nationally influential science and innovation center. Moreover, Wuhan is a city known for its openness and ecological vitality.

He also highlighted the opportunity to leverage the zero-tariff policy on second-hand agricultural machinery between China and Thailand to further expand trade and investment.
